CELEBRATING THE NEW LITTLE HOUSE

After many years, our beloved Little House has a fresher, brighter look!

It’s hard to believe that back in 2009, the Little House was approved for demolition due to its deteriorating condition. But our community came together and thanks to a successful neighborhood fundraising campaign led by then–co-presidents the Little House re-opened in 2013.

NOW IT IS AGAIN RENEWED, REVIVED, and READY TO CONTINUE
THE PURPOSE IT'S HAD SINCE THE 1950s OF A
GATHERING PLACE FOR NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS.

Now, a decade later, the Little House has been refreshed once again—this time through the efforts of our current board, spearheaded by Mark Cheng.

In the summer of 2025, the Little House got:

✨ A brand-new roof
✨ New luxury vinyl plank flooring
✨ Dimmable lighting
✨ Freshly painted doors
✨ And top-notch sound-absorbing wall ceiling panels

As proud custodians of this community treasure, we ask that everyone help preserve it:

Nothing may be taped or pinned onto the new ceiling panels.
Only painter’s tape (blue) may be used on the walls and between panels.

And if you haven’t yet paid your annual $50 WCA dues, we encourage you to do so.

It’s a small contribution that keeps our “hidden gem” thriving.

Come take a look—or better yet, host your next celebration at the Little House!
See how the space can be transformed (yes, even with painter’s tape!) in the photos below.

The Westmoreland Citizens Association (WCA) consists of almost 1000 households located between Westmoreland Circle and Little Falls Parkway. Everyone who resides in Overlook, Spring Hill, Westgate, Westhaven, Westmoreland Hills, and Yorktown Village is automatically a member of WCA.

Since 1935, public-spirited members have given time and energy to further the interests of all areas that constitute our community. Residents have worked to preserve parks and community buildings, maintain good schools, and encourage discussion of and action on civic matters.

The Association's purpose is to inform residents of and stimulate interest in issues and events affecting the general welfare and quality of life of the community, to represent its members in civic matters before government agencies and other organizations, and to promote the common good and general well-being of the community and its residents.
